Follow these steps to create or edit tickets for your event.
From the left menu go to Events > View events and select the event that need tickets created/edited; you will then be in the event dashboard.
CREATE A TICKET
1. Select the Actions section on the right hand side
2. Select Add tickets
You will then have a two options: Create new ticket and Assign existing item
We strongly recommend that you use the second option unless the ticket you want to create is significantly different from the ones you already have. This option will allow you to assign (reuse) an existing ticket; this will unlock very powerful features such as the ability to update tickets across many events at once. Basically if you already have Adult tickets in other events and need an Adult ticket for your new event there is no need to create a new Adult ticket. Simply assign the one you already have in the system. You will be able to change its price and almost every settings; in fact, the only settings that are shared and therefore always remain identical across all events are:
- ticket name
- ticket description
- ticket global stock
So you should really only have one Adult ticket, one Under 16 ticket, etc. in your account. It is the simplest and fastest way to work.
When you select the 'Assign existing item' option, you will see and be able to select any ticket in your account. It might look overwhelming at first but you will quickly see that it is very useful: you can assign a ticket that already has all the settings you want, such as the pricing and purchase limit per customer for example. This will reduce data entry and save you a lot of time. When you select 'Assign existing item' you will be able to search/filter the list of tickets and events to help you identify quickly which ticket you want to assign.
You can also create a new ticket if you prefer or if you do not have any existing relevant tickets that you can assign.
EDIT A TICKET
Select a the ticket you want to edit by clicking on it; all tickets are listed at the bottom of the event dashboard page.
When you save your changes, the system will allow you to replicate your changes to any other event(s). Select the changes you want to replicate (e.g. the pricing but not the purchase limit per customer) and select which events you want to be affected.
