What to Do if Your Event Status Is Sold Out or Off Sale
If your event is unexpectedly showing as Sold Out, work through the following checklist:
1. Check for an Event-Level Capacity Limit
Make sure you haven’t set an event capacity that has already been reached.
Location: Event dashboard → Edit event details → Capacities
2. Check for Ticket-Level Capacity Limits
Each ticket type can have its own capacity. If the limit is reached, the whole event may appear sold out even if seats remain.
Location: Event dashboard → Tickets → Open tickets editor → Edit information & inventory → Allocated stock
3. Check for Inventory-Level Capacity Limits
An overarching capacity on a ticket can be set. If the limit is reached, the whole event may appear sold out even if tickets remain available for an event.
Location: E-commerce → Inventory → Tickets → Edit the specific ticket → Global stock
4. Check Off-Sale Dates and Times
If an off-sale date or time has been set on your tickets, they will stop selling automatically once that point is reached.
Location: Event dashboard → Tickets → Open tickets editor → Purchase settings → On-sale dates
5. Check That Your Capacity Isn’t Lower Than Your Seating Plan
If your event or ticket capacity is set lower than the total number of seats on your seating plan, the system will treat the lower number as the limit. When this is reached, the event shows as sold out.
Please note: For seated events, setting a capacity is not necessary as the system registers the number of seats in the seating plan
6. Check Access Codes and Usage Limits
If your event uses an access code, ensure the code’s limit hasn’t already been reached. Once the allocation is used up, the associated tickets will no longer appear.
