Troubleshoot: discount code not appearing in Box Office

If a discount code is available to customers online but does not appear in Box Office, it is usually because the required Box Office eligibility setting has not been enabled. This article explains how to make the discount code visible to Box Office users.

Alert
Please note that the "Visible in Box Office" eligibility setting is now applied by default to all new discount codes

How to check the discount code eligibility settings
1. Navigate to the discount code you wish to edit.
2. Open the Eligibility settings.

3. Locate and enable the Visible in Box Office option.

4. Choose who should have access to the discount code in Box Office:
  1. Any role: The discount code will be available to all users.
  2. Only show to users with a specific role: The discount code will only be visible to users assigned to the selected role(s).
5. Save your changes.

Still not seeing the discount code?
If the Visible in Box Office setting is enabled and the discount code is still not appearing, verify that:
  1. The discount code is active.
  2. The discount code is valid for the event, inventory, or items being sold.
  3. The user has the required role if role-based visibility has been configured.
  4. Or contact Support
