Creating discount codes

You can create and manage discount codes to offer special promotions on your events or products. Follow the steps below to create and configure discount codes.

Creating a Discount Code

1. Navigate to Basket Codes
From the left-hand menu, go to E-commerce > Basket codes.

2. Create a New Code Select Create discount code.

3. Name Your Discount
Enter a name for the discount using only letters and/or numbers.
Note: Special characters and spaces are not allowed.

4. Select Discount Type
Choose from one of the following discount types:
  1. Fixed Value Discount – Offers a set amount off the basket total.
  2. Percentage Discount – Offers a percentage off the basket total.
  3. Buy X Get Y – Offers a percentage discount when specific conditions are met (e.g., buy two, get one free).
  4. Multi-buy – Offers a percentage discount when specific item combinations are purchased.

Editing Basic Discount Code Details

Once your discount code is created, you can edit the following fields:

  1. Name – Update the name of the discount (must follow naming rules above).
  2. Auto-apply – Enable this setting to automatically apply the discount to qualifying baskets.
  3. Type – Change the type of discount (as listed above).
  4. Sharable URL – Enable this to allow the discount to be accessed via a link.

Eligibility Settings

Define who can use the discount code and under what conditions. Eligibility settings may include:

  1. Specific customer groups
  2. Purchase conditions
  3. Validity period (start and end date)

Please note: Should you want to make use of your discount code in the box office, the "Visible in Box Office" eligibility setting needs to be applied

Use this section to specify what the discount applies to:
  1. All products
  2. Specific events or items
  3. Selected price bands or ticket types
