Create an order without email

Create an order without email

Handling orders for customers who do not have an email address can be challenging. This guide outlines the best practices for managing such scenarios effectively.

To managed customers without an email address, we recommend using a standardised
placeholder format when processing orders / creating customer profiles. This ensures
consistency and avoids your team from having to use their own email addresses.

FORMAT
  1. Name Surname
  2. Email: Name.Surname@No.Email
  3. Example: John Doe - John.Doe@No.Email
BENEFITS
  1. Avoids Using Personal Email Addresses
  2. Creates a Customer Profile: This format allows you to create a unique profile for
each customer, which can be used in future transactions. It enables returning
customersto have a 'profile' in the system, making it easier to track their
    purchases and interactions.
Alert
We are working towards allowing the use of phone numbers as an alternative to email
addresses.
This update is expected to be available by early 2025. Until then, the placeholder
email format will be the most efficient way to handle customers without an email
address.

Important considerations
You can also use Internal Comments functionality if you wish to add any additional
    information to the customer's 'profile'.
