Scan tickets with our scanner app
You can scan tickets with our scanner app to verify the tickets authenticity and track attendance.
INSTALL THE APP
To scan tickets you can use our free scanning app called Access Control Pro, found on the App Store and Google Play.
You can install the app on a phone, a tablet or a dedicated Android-based scanner such as the Sunmi L2s Pro scanner. These devices come with dedicated beam-based scanners and can be clipped on a trigger handle for prolonged use.
Once installed you will need to log in to the app in order to scan tickets. You can create as many users with scanning rights from the admin pages of your Little Box Office account from the System > Manage users left-hand side menu. You can assign the default Scanning user role to users to grant them scanning rights only or select any other roles with more rights.
SCAN TICKETS
Select events to scan
The app home page is divided in two tab, showing 'active' and 'Inactive' events.
Active events are the list of events for which you can tickets for; you can select to ticket tickets for one event or all active events;
Inactive events are the list of all the upcoming events in your account; from this tab you can make specific events active.
Scanner dashboard
Once one or all active events have been selected the scanner dashboard is presented where you can see the number and percentage of tickets scanned.
- Start scanning
Once one active event or all active events have been selected, tap on the Scan icon at the bottom of the screen. In low light conditions, you can engage the device's torch light from the top right icon (lightening bolt).
- Scan tickets manually
You can mark manually tickets as scanned when the customer down not have the tickets with them: to do this tap on the 'Attendees' icon at the bottom of the screen; find their name and tap on each ticket to mark it as scanned.
- Scan tickets off-line
You can scan tickets without an internet connection, but there are some important things to know: - Make sure each scanner is connected to the internet and ready to scan before going offline. This ensures it has the latest ticket data.
- If you’re using more than one scanner, they won’t sync while offline. The same ticket could be scanned successfully on multiple devices.
- Tickets bought while a scanner is offline won’t show up on that device.
- Tickets cancelled while offline will still scan as valid until the scanner goes online and updates.
- Scanner settings
You can access the app settings from the top right three-dots icon; here are the most important settings: - Auto admit: ability to admit (accept and mark as scanned) valid tickets automatically instead of the user needing to tap on the admit button after each scan;
- Ability to admit all: ability to admit all the tickets contained in the same order when scanning only one of the tickets: great to scan tickets for large groups;
- Multi-events scanning: ability to scan tickets from any active event.
TRACK ATTENDANCE
You can track the attendance from the scanner dashboard and in the box office admin from the event dashboard top right Reports > View attendance menu option.
