How to send event reminder emails
Event reminder emails help ensure your customers have all the information they need ahead of your event. You can enable automatic reminders, customise the content, and control which events receive them.
Enable automatic event reminder emails
1. Head to Settings > General settings
2. Enable Automatic event reminder emails
3. Select when the reminder should be sent before the event (days, hours or weeks)
Note: Choosing 1 day before the event means the email will be sent exactly 24 hours before the event start time, not the calendar day before.
Customise the reminder email template
You can tailor the reminder email to match your event tone and include important details.
Option 1: From General settings
When enabling the reminder email, choose to customise the template and edit:
- Subject
- Email header
- Email body
Option 2: From Text manager
- Go to Website > Text manager
- Set the category to Event reminder email
Edit the:
- Subject
- Email header
- Email body
- Click Submit to save your changes
Tip: should you like your email to adress a customer's full name use the following tag- :name
Customise which events receive reminder emails
If certain events need different messaging, or should not send reminders at all, you can control this per event.
Add additional information for specific events
1. Go to Website > Text manager
2. Change the category to Event reminder email
3. Select the desired event or event schedule
4. Edit the subject, header, or body as needed
5. Click Submit
Disable reminder emails for a specific event
1. Go to the Event dashboard
2. Click Actions
3. Under Advanced, select Email settings
4. Set Enable automatic event reminder emails to Disabled
