Understanding images: where they appear on the front-end
This article is designed to help you understand where different images are displayed on the front-end of your site. Each image type has a specific purpose and appears in different locations, whether on your event pages, grouped schedule listings, or external platforms like social media.
Event Images
Event Header Image:
- Where it appears: At the top of the individual event page.
- Purpose: Sets the visual tone and branding for the event.
Event Thumbnail
- Where it appears: “What’s On” page and the schedule listing page
- Purpose: Offers a quick visual reference for users browsing multiple events.
Event Sharing Image
- Where it appears: When your event is shared externally, including: WhatsApp preview, Instagram links, Google search results
- Purpose: Ensures the event looks visually appealing when shared on social or search platforms.
Schedule Images
Schedule Header Image
- Where it appears: On the schedule listing page.
- Purpose: Represents the schedule as a whole.
Schedule Thumbnail
- Where it appears: On the “What’s On” page when events are grouped by schedule.
- Purpose: Acts as a quick visual cue for users exploring grouped events.
Schedule Sharing Image
- Where it appears: When your event is shared externally, including: WhatsApp preview, Instagram links, Google search results
